“THIS LAND MUST FAVOUR ME”
Deuteronomy 18 vs 9 “when thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth Thee”

Why would God give his people a land that was a potential danger to their faith? If he could destroy Sodom and Gomorrah and cleans the world with a deluge, couldn’t He wipe away the heathen before letting His people into the Promised
Land?.
I believe God being who He is was still giving His people the opportunity to choose whom to worship, the one true God or the
idols made by man,Again problems have a way of driving us back to the Lord for help. So God did not
insulate them from the evils they would face but He gave them the support they needed to lie in the
land and conquer the enemy.
Moreover the people of God had to know that though they had arrived in the promised land, a land flowing with milk and honey, earth has no trouble free environments, there will always be problems as long as the world is filled with sinful people.
We are still living in this world! Not even Christian’s churches, governments, schools, or homes are problem free, but we have to choose either to stand on the side of truth or dance to the tune of the sinful people.
God is still on duty and we can deal with our problem filled environment byapplying His word to our situation as the title of this message, reads, “This land must favour me” by faith.
It will be unrealistic looking for a safe, secure retreat from corruption influence.
God expects us to be alert and wise enough to always look to Him for the courage to deal with our problems and Modeccai under the old covenant surely, He will not
fail us who He has brought with the blood of His precious son, Jesus Christ.
