2023 Guber: Igbo Business Forum Endorses Pastor Umo Eno

Ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Akwa Ibom State, Igbo business men and women under the umbrella of Igbo Business Forum, Akwa Ibom State Chapter has endorsed and adopted Pastor Umo Eno, the Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state as their sole candidate.

The group made the endorsement at their 5th anniversary celebration held in Uyo.

In his remarks, the president of the forum, Mr. Osita Nwude described Pastor Eno as a destribalissed entrepreneur who appreciates everyone irrespective of religion, culture, tribe and language.

He said their decision to endorse Pastor Umo Eno is based on the fact that he is their torch bearer in the business community given his unparalleled pedigree.

In his response, Pastor Umo Eno commended the forum for their outstanding business approach, adding that the Igbos were unique in their business approach.

He maintained that the peace and security which, according to him, has made business to thrive in the state, must be sustained.

Pastor Eno who is a a seasoned entrepreneur noted that the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration has created a very conducive environment for business development, stressing that the succeeding administration will invest more in small and medium scale enterprises and ignite economic activities in the rural communities.

He urged members of the forum to register and collect their Permanent Voters’Cards (PVCs) to enable them contribute, through the ballot, to the sustainance of peace, security and development in the state.

The governorship hopeful appreciated the group for the recognition and support, and urged them to be law-abiding.

The event which was chaired by Senator Aloysius Etok, had in attendance Chairman, Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA), Prince Enobong Uwah, President Akwa Ibom Business Community (AIBC), Mr Lordswill Umani and leaders of the different business associations in the state under AIBC.
