NDDC PRESENTS 2021, 2022, 2023 BUDGET ESTIMATES ..As Unyime Idem Moves Motion For The Adoption

The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, today May 4, 2023, presented its budget estimates for 2021, 2022 and 2023 for approval by the House of Representatives.
The member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rep. Unyime Idem, moved a motion for the adoption of the budget estimates for further legislative action.
While moving the motion, Idem advised the Commission to ensure that after passage, the Budget should be judiciously deployed to settle outstanding liabilities of contractors and promote the development of the Niger Delta Region.
The breakdown of the budget christened “Budget of Rewind to Rebirth shows that the budget estimate for 2021 is N485.76 billion, that of 2022 stands at N876 billion while the 2023 estimate stands at 928.2 billion.
Recall also that on April 6, 2023, the Ukanafun-born lawmaker, had moved a motion of urgent public importance stopping the NDDC from releasing N15 billion counterpart funding to the Federal government pending the approval of its budget by the House.
