Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, RCCG
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has spoken of what Jesus Christ, God’s Perfect Gift to the world can do in the life of whoever accepts Him as Lord and Saviour.

Pastor Adeboye said that Jesus can transform the circumstances of whoever accepts Him genuinely such that the person can go from being the poorest of the poor to being super rich, from being unknown to being known globally, and being sought after by the high and the mighty.

The highly revered Cleric said these in his message during the Church’s “Let’s-Go-A- Fishing” programme of Christmas 2022.

The soul-winning (evangelism) programme takes Pastor Adeboye and his team to many different locations where he ministers the word of God and prays for all those who come together for the programmes the Christmas season.

The theme for this year’s “Let’s-Go-A- Fishing” programme is “The Perfect Gift” and Pastor Adeboye said that all that anyone can ever need can be found in Jesus Christ, God’s Only Begotten Son and His Perfect Gift to the world.

The General Overseer spoke of how as a young Mathematics lecturer wallowing in sin and unbelief, a situation his book knowledge could not solve drove him to accept Jesus Christ, and God transformed his life for the best. God, he said, took him from the son of very poor parents, a youngster who did not have shoes till he was 18 years old to where he is today.

He said: “Some of you who know a little bit about my background, you know when they talk about people coming from a rocky background, that means from a background of hardship. My own rocky background was rock among the rocks. My father was so poor, poor people called him poor.

“The elders have a saying, that when there is hardship for the husband, and hardship for the wife, there must be hardship for the children.

“The hardship rubbed off on me. For the first 18 years of my life, I had no shoes. My father was so poor. The day he bought an umbrella, we were rejoicing, but look at me today, look at what Jesus can do, He can change the poor to the rich; change the unknown to the known.”

He said that because of what God is doing through him, his village that was nowhere to be found on the map of Nigeria till recently had become known globally, especially as a result of Mount Carmel, the prayer Mountain of the RCCG that is located in Ifewara, his place of birth in Osun State, Nigeria.

He also said that because of Jesus, he is sought after by Presidents and other highly placed people in the world, which would not have been so if he had not accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.

He urged all those who had not done so yet to accept Jesus, God’s Perfect Gift, and those who had not accepted Jesus wholly to do so, so that the glorious transformation that has taken place in his own life can, likewise, take place in their own lives.

Very many people surrendered their lives to Jesus wherever Pastor Adeboye made the altar call on his different stops, to the glory of God. (Source,GP).
