Nasarawa United goalscorer Anas Yusuf: Our fight-back must be the standard

Nasarawa United goalscorer Anas Yusuf hailed the spirit shown for their 2-2 draw at Akwa United.

The Solid Miners turned a 2-1 disadvantage into a 2-2 draw with a late-minute goal from striker Anas Yusuf.

In total, Anas had 5 shots on goal, made 3 dribbles and 1 key pass. More importantly, he grabbed the equalizer from a diving header in the 87th minute.

“There are regrets because we conceded a goal in each of the halves and needed to improve our attacking spirit, but the reaction we saw in the last 10 minutes has to be our template for the rest of the campaign,” Anas told Lodgexpress.com after the game.

“This is the real Nasarawa United, a team that does everything possible to avoid a defeat.

“We’ve got to do better during the week too in training, but I think we can build on those 10 minutes.”
