SSEB Permanent Secretary Fetes Family, Friends As Wife Celebrates Birthday

The Permanent Secretary of State Secondary Education Board ( SSEB), Akwa Ibom State, Barrister Selong, on Sunday October 23, 2022 gathered families and friends at his compound in Use Offot, Uyo Local Government Area to celebrate his wife’s birthday.
Barrister Selong who set the ball rolling at the birthday bash, spoke in glowing terms about his wife, Mrs Glory Selong. He said in the 17 years union with his wife, she has been a pillar to him, and has made him what he is today.
He expressed gratitude to God, for protecting his wife to add another glorious year, and for those that have left their tight schedule to come and celebrate with them.
He also expressed gratitude for his Father and Mother-In- Law for giving him a dutiful and good natured wife like Glory.
Speaking at the event, the celebrant, Mrs Glory Edem Selong, expressed gratitude to God for making her see another year. She said to re- echo what her husband had said, she was thankful to God for giving her a husband like Barrister Selong, who has been a worthy partner, a brother, a friend, a lover, a close confidant and a dear husband.
Also speaking at the birthday party, Evangelist Solomon Okpo, Editor-In – Chief of The Evangelist, a print/ online Newspaper said he has known the Selong’s family for over 35 years, and thank God for the life of the celebrant and God’s protection and guidance for her to see another year and to call people to gather and say, “God thank you for adding another year to me”.
The Pastor of their church who opened the party with prayer also spoke in glowing terms about the couple.
Barrister Selong’s brother, father and mother of his wife and other relatives like the Chief Magistrate in Nsit Ubium, Mrs Usimka who attended the ceremony with her husband, Mr Victor Usimka, also spoke at the event.
Highlight of the birthday bash of Mrs Glory Selong included, the cutting of birthday cake by the couple and toast.
This was supervised by the Chief Magistrate, Mrs Usimka who is a sister to Barrister Selong.
Barrister Selong was appointed Permanent Secretary of State Secondary Education Board( SSEB) Akwa Ibom State, last year.
