Will Implement One Project In Each LG – Gov Um Eno
By evangelist.com.ng edition, Friday 14, 2023.
Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has vowed to ensure the 31 local government areas of the state would get people-oriented development projects, “as a token of appreciation for the support garnered during the election.”
Eno gave the assurance during the ongoing “thank-you visit” to the three Senatorial Districts, which began Wednesday at Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.
At the country home of the political leader of the district, Chief Michael Afangide, at Ikot Umo Essien, Essien Udim local government area, Eno, commended the over 100 years elder statesman, for rallying round him to realize his quest to succeed former Governor Udom Emmanuel, against all odds.
He said considering the exigency of his office, he would not be able to visit every local government to register appreciation but would translate such gesture to capacity building and development projects initiated in all the local government areas of the state.
He explained that his promise of one project per LG would be implemented under the state inter-ministerial department as soon as his cabinet is constituted later this month.
He said: “We have come here today, standing in Annang land, using our father, Obong Afangide, as a point of contact to show our appreciation to Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District. We thank you for your solidarity and support during the campaign. Thank you for presenting yourselves to be used by God to bring us to where we are today. (source: Leadership).
