He maintained that as a Priest and a King, the two roles will be interchangeably applied as occasions arise in the course of the administration.

The Governor stated that the event was basically to thank God for all the people that God touched their hearts to support his vision, and even those that were against the project.

He reechoed the call on all Akwa Ibomites irrespective of political leanings to join hands with him to further peace and development in the state.

According to him, “politics is over and has ushered the season of good tidings. The State is big enough for all and the new administration is ready to acomodate all.”

He appreciated his predecessor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel and wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Martha for their untiring support and assured that he will work hard to ensure that the confidence they reposed in him, will translate into solid democratic dividends for the people of the State.

The well- attended event which featured such popular Akwa Ibom born gospel singers like Bobby Friga, Aity Dennis, also had in attendance, members of the political class, the leadership and members of the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Fathers in Faith, and many others.
