CRIME: LET’S NOT FORGET OUR YOUTHS IN CAPTIVITY

Among these are seven graduates from Akwa Ibom State and a driver of Akwa Ibom Transport Company (AKTC). They were abducted in Zamfara on August 17, 2023 while they were on their way to Sokoto for the mandatory NYSC scheme. They have spent 150 days in kidnappers’ den.

Akwa Ibom State has a Governor, the Senate President is also from there, and they also have minister in the federal executive council.

It’s is unfortunate that thousands of Nigerians currently languish in the den of these daredevils in different parts of the country, but no serious efforts to rescue them.

More sadly, Nigerians currently enjoying ‘freedom’ are not entirely free due to the risk of being kidnapped.
