Gov. Umo Eno Sets Criteria For Aides, Commissioners

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has punctuated willingness to appoint key officials of his administration solely on an ardent and all inclusive selection process.

Speaking at the swearing in ceremony of the new SSG of Akwa Ibom State, Prince Enobong Uwah, the governor disclosed on engaging strictly competent hands with an understanding of the A.R.I.S.E Agenda, to avoid weak links in the new administration.

“We have a well defined Government blueprint predicated on our A.R.I.S.E Agenda. Later on we will formally launch our A.R.I.S.E Agenda to Akwa Ibom people and invite them to have a discuss on the agenda.

“We would look at our focal points and bring Experts to discuss the focal points of the blueprint, as we, together, put together a road map, bring people across party lines and together as a people, understand the road map.

“It is after that we intend to submit names of Commissioners to the House Of Assembly, and once you get confirmed, it is on that roadmap that the commissioners will have a retreat to set timelines”, Pastor Eno stated.

Governor Umo Eno further expressed confidence in the newly appointed Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government, and assured Akwa Ibomites of his commitment and capacity to assemble key members of the administration that can take the state to the next level.

In his words: “Let no one be left in doubt that our humility means weakness. We would consult widely because we need to consult, but let me be very clear that consultation does not mean confusion.

“We intend to carry everyone on board. We know the road, and we will go the road. This is the ‘golden era’ of our state, and we have zero tolerance for weak links in our engine of operation.”
