Umo Eno Promises to Produce Entrepreneurs for A’Ibom, Nigeria …Salutes Gov Emmanuel over Skills Centre

In line with God’s ordained system and the law of life that everything produces its own kind, Governor-elect of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has promised to produce entrepreneurs like himself during his tenure.

In his remarks at the commissioning of the Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre (DASAC) in Ikot Ada Idem, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, he noted that he is an entrepreneur who will support entrepreneural development across the state.

He maintained that contrary to the current practice where most youths seek political appointments, he desires to see young people acquire skills that will enable them earn a decent living.

Pastor Eno who is a seasoned and renowned entrepreneur and a major player in the hospitality industry, commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for his visionary leadership evident in the skills acquisition centre and other life – touching projects across the state.

According to him, “As I sat down and looked at the various faculties in this skills acquisition centre, I feel very relieved that you have paved the way for the ARISE Agenda. You have made it possible for our youths to be trained because every aspect of the ARISE Agenda, from Agricultural Developement, Rural development, Infrastructural development, Security management and Educational Advancement is represented here on this ground.

“People have been sending me CVs for political appointments, but I want to see people sending me CVs that they want to be trained in agriculture and entrepreneurial development. Everyone will produce its own kind, as an entrepreneur, and I want to produce entrepreneurs

“Your Excellency, I want to thank you for this facility, for seeing ahead what the next generation needs, because as they are trained, government can support them with seed money, and give them start-up facility so that they can begin their own businesses,” he said.

While promising to partner with the Centre to train and empower Akwa Ibom youths, he urged the youths to appreciate and embrace the initiative for their personal development and the state in general.

In a related development, Pastor Eno also accompanied Governor Udom Emmanuel to the commissioning of the remodeled Uyo Sports Stadium.
