Legendary former Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama was at Watbridge Hotels, Uyo, yesterday evening. The former Lille of France shot stopper with over a hundred caps for the Super Eagles, visited the Muhammed Ali Gym. At the gym, Enyeama posed for photographs in front of a large mural of his last match for Nigeria hung at the hotel in his honour.
The former Enyimba of Aba revelation, who later played for Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel, accompanied by the General Manager of Watbridge, Otunba Sunday Ajayi and Sports Journalist, Mighty George, then took a stroll around the hotel’s Super Poolside, where he exchanged pleasantries and took photos with fun seekers enjoying the poolside timeout.
Enyeama, widely remembered for his World Cup heroics against Argentina’s Lionel Messi, later visited Watbridge Hotels Ngugi wa Thiong’o Guest Library – which houses both hard and e-resources. A visibly impressed Enyeama wrote on the Library’s Visitors Book:
‘Awesome place. Library in a hotel. Wow. Just wow!’.
The ex-goalie, who won the 2013 African Nations Cup with Nigeria, equally visited other iconic places in the hotel including the Nelson Mandela Hall and William Shakespeare Hall.
