Remo Stars attacker Anaekwe: Kayode Bankole can be happy with his performance

Remo Stars attacker Samuel Anaekwe says Kayode Bankole can be happy with his performance in their 1-1 draw at Shooting Stars.

Bankole pulled off a string of stunning saves for the Sky Blue Stars and was the primary reason his side were able to take a point from the fixture.

And Anaekwe who has netted three times this season told Lodgexpress.com: “I’m quite a big fan of Banky. He is a fantastic goalkeeper. He is learning from the best trainer, in my opinion. His presence is good, he is confident on the ball and he is making good saves as well. That’s good and we need him right now.

“Unfortunately, we couldn’t keep a clean sheet but the goal he conceded he couldn’t really do anything about it. We need him for the next games as well.”

He added: “They [Shooting Stars] have an amazing team but so have we. I always had a feeling – we were under pressure at times but we defended well as a team I think, didn’t give big chances away – that we could have scored maybe two or three goals in the end. But unfortunately it didn’t happen, we take one point and we have to build on this again after the disappointment that we had last week. That’s what we should do.”
