Shooting Stars midfielder Uko admit mixed emotions after Plateau United thrilling draw

The creative no.10 said he had ‘mixed feelings’ after their thrilling draw at New Jos Stadium in their opening game of the NPFL, where he assisted Akpan Joshua in his first goal as the Oluyole Warriors failed to take all three points.

“Personally I think its a mixed feeling,” he said post-match with Lodgexpress.com. “When we are trailing, especially when we fought back and are leading, it’s not easy [to draw].

“But then we have to settle for that point and keep on working. I think for everyone who watched it was a nice game, but for us it was a tough battle. We showed some resilience and some character, and we have to take the point and move forward to the fixture.”

“with the way we’re playing now, we are we are creating more chances and equally converting them,” he added.

“For me as a midfielder, it is a pleasure to be in the middle supplying the chances. The most important thing is to win games or get the points. Today we took one, and hopefully we will get three come next game.”
