The Royal Father of YPP senatorial candidate, and Paramount Ruler of Onna, Edidem Raymond Inyang, has thrown his weight behind the candidacy of Barr Ekong Sampson saying he has the best qualities and credentials to represent the State’s largest senatorial district.
Receiving Ekong Sampson in his Palace in Onna, Edidem Inyang said he had conducted a cursory look on all candidates and he has found in Barr Sampson, a perfect representative for the district.
“I was looking for senate representation and I have seen one in Dr Ekong Sampson”, he exclaimed.
Ekong Sampson’s endorsement by the sage comes on a day his opponent’s kinsmen and key officers of the YPP threw in the towel against the leaves wielding party.
The officers of YPP who denounced their membership of YPP include, Chapter Vice Chairman, Hon. Sunday Akpan Udo, Chapter Secretary, Comrade Promise Williams, Youth Leader, Hon. Wisdom Douglas, Chapter Woman Leader, Hon. Ekaima Sunday John, and Chapter Deputy Youth Leader, Hon. Eno-Oto Jacob, who opted to support Pastor Umo Bassey Eno the PDP Governorship candidate and all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State.
