Uyo Senatorial District Ready For PDP Campaign Flag-off – Aniekan Bassey

The Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) for Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, Rt Hon Aniekan Bassey, has described the district as the seat of government and the landlord of the party in the state.

Speaking with reporters ahead of today’s Thursday, October 27 Campaign flag-off of the party in the district, Rt Hon Bassey, who is also the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom PDP/Umo Eno Campaign Council, said the district has always voted en masse for the party since the return of the nation to constitutional democracy in 1999.

“We have always voted PDP. And this won’t change anytime soon.Not in 2023. Not in 2027. We have found in PDP a party that has been good to our people in Uyo Senatorial District. We are the seat of governance and the party’s landlord and no tenant party will find a foot in the coming elections here,” he said.

The Speaker said all the candidates flying the party flag in the district are “tested, trusted, experienced and capable leaders who have impacted on the society and have been impactful in all their endeavours in life ”

He welcomed the leadership of the party in the state and Grand Patron of Campaigns, Mr Udom Emmanuel, his wife, also a Grand Patron of Campaigns, Mrs Martha Udom, the Deputy Governor, a patron of campaigns, Mr Moses Ekpo, the state party chairman and Chairman of the campaigns council, Rt Hon Aniekan Akpan, the Guber candidate of the party and deputy, Pastor Umo Eno and Senator Akon Eyakenyi, and all guests to the flag off which will hold at the Ibom Unity Park on Udo Udoma Avenue by 10 am.

To receive flags at the event, aside from Rt Hon Bassey, are candidates for Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Ubium Federal Constituency, Ibiono Ibom/Itu Federal Constituency, Uyo/Ibesikpo Asutan/Nsit Atai/Uruan Federal Constituency as well as all State House of Assembly Candidates of the party.
