2023: Peter Obi’s support group adopts Pastor Umo Eno as governorship candidate in A’Ibom State

Pastor Umo Eno, the PDP flagbearer in Akwa Ibom State, has continued to garner more supports among the youths of Akwa Ibom State, as a formidable youth group, Take Back Naija (TBN), Akwa Ibom chapter on Monday 3rd October 2022 during her leadership summit at Uyo formally endorsed the candidacy of Pastor Umo Eno and adopted him as their sole governorship candidate for the 2023 gubernatorial elections.
In a unanimous decision, TBN leadership and coordinators of various affiliate youth platforms, pulled their weight behind Pastor Umo Eno, while reinstating their unalloyed loyalty to Peter Obi’s presidential campaign; noting that there were similarities between Peter Obi, an entrepreneur and wealth creation individual and Pastor Umo Eno who majored in entrepreneurship and wealth creation before emerging the gubernatorial candidate for Akwa Ibom State under PDP.
Flanked by several youth leaders and coordinators, the Convener of TBN’s 2million man march for Peter Obi, Mr. Bernard Titus, who also led discussion at the leadership summit, said:
“As a movement and a socio-political group, Peter Obi is our presidential candidate. We are all armed with PVCs and have set up structures in the units prepared to vote him as president in 2023. However, we also have the leverage to choose which candidate to support at the State’s level as governor in 2023.”
“After a thorough assessment of all the all candidates that have been presented for governorship election, our leaders and coordinators at the State level have all agreed to support and adopt Pastor Umo Eno as our governorship candidate for 2023 elections.”
That was the second time TBN would show open support for Pastor Umo Eno’s candidacy for governorship election in Akwa Ibom State.
During the 2million man March in Uyo on 1st October, 2023, some TBN members were also spotted in Pastor Umo Eno’s tshirts and emblems.
Meanwhile, Take Back Naija, Akwa Ibom State chapter is warming up to receive Peter Obi in the State as presidential campaign has begun.
