Excited youths welcome Gov Emmanuel at airport, receive commendations for peaceful disposition

A mammoth crowd of Akwa Ibom youths Monday evening , stormed the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, to welcome Governor Udom Emmanuel on his return to the state.
The Governor was returning to the State after an official trip outside the State.
Mr Emmanuel expressed pleasure over the reception accorded him, describing it as a positive ambush by the youths.
He commended the continuous cooperation of the youths with his administration in maintaining the peace in the state and urged them to sustain the atmosphere throughout the 35th anniversary celebration.
He reminded them that there would be an influx of several guests in the state during the anniversary and assured them of a worthwhile celebration.
“I am very delighted for this positive ambush. I’ve received assurances that the state will be very beautiful in this 35th anniversary, we are also expecting a lot of guests and to whom much is given, much is expected, ” he stated.
Governor Emmanuel reassured Akwa Ibom youths of continuous inclusion in the governance of the state throughout his tenure and the next to come.
He asserted that they remain the real owners of the state and that sitting in government is merely holding brief for them.
“Let me reassure you that there is no government outside the youths. You are the government. The one sitting at the head is sitting there for you.
“And I want to say here, no matter what happens, the one that is coming will not also survive without you because you are the owners of the government”, he assured
