NSE team to battle SWAN in novelty football match on Friday

As part of the activities marking the inauguration of Engineer Uwem Akpan as the 16th chairman of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Akwa Ibom State Branch, a novelty football match between the NSE and SWAN comes up this Friday in Uyo.
Already, the Chairman-elect, Engineer Uwem Akpan was at the SWAN Congress today to brief the Sports Writers on preparations towards the event.
At the Congress presided over by the State Chairman, Emmanuel Akpan, FCAI, the new State NSE Chairman, Engr Akpan said SWAN was chosen for the friendly game because of its orderliness and professionalism.
He assured that his tenure will have a good partnership with Sports Writers Association of Nigeria in Akwa Ibom State, pointing out that the encounter on Friday will be interesting.
The chairman of SWAN, Emmanuel Akpan, FCAI and the Technical Director of SWAN, Mr Justice Udousoro assured that arrangements for the match will be perfected for a hitch free encounter.
Recall that SWAN and NSE teams last year played a novelty football match to mark the weeklong celebration of Nigeria Society of Engineers.
The match ended 2-nil in favor of Akwa Ibom SWAN.
