Eket Women Pray For Akwa Ibom, Pastor Umo Eno
Wednesday, 17th August will remain remarkable in the lives of Eket women and Akwa Ibom State as the Women of Eket turned out enmass to pray for The State and the PDP Standard Bearer for the Gubernatorial race, Pastor Umo Eno.
The prayer summit which was organized by the wife of the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs Bright Archibong, took place at the Commissioner’s residence at Ntaisip, Ikot Ibiok in Eket LGA.
In her short, but impactful exhortation, Mrs Emem Cyril who preached on the theme, ‘Grace for Healing’, admonished the women to be prayerful, not only for their respective families but for the society and their leaders, adding that a society is not just a reflection of the followers but the dedication, prayers and supplication of faithfuls.
She stressed that God is still in the business of answering prayers of the righteous and as a State and community named after God, it is incumbent on the people to pray.
The Commissioner’s Wife, Mrs Bright Archibong who spoke glowingly about Eket Women, appreciated them for the massive turnout, stressing that the zeal and commitment of Eket women to the things of the Lord must be commended.
Mrs Archibong lauded the Governor’s wife for setting the pace for others to follow, adding that her monthly prayer summit for women at Government House and other life-touching programs has inspired Eket and Akwa Ibom women to aim for greatness.
The former WALGON boss lauded her husband, Mr Frank Archibong for the support given the women of Eket and in hosting of the August edition of the summit, praying for God’s blessings and wisdom to enable him pilot the affairs of the Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs.
