The leading governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State, Sen. Ita Enang, has assured all indigenes of an all-inclusive government when elected into office as governor.

Enang stated this when he met with the Nsit Ubium APC stakeholders in Uyo on Saturday.

Enang noted that “it was foolhardy to rely solely on federal government allocations to develop the state”, adding that when experienced indigenes are mobilized, adequately empowered and creatively involved in agriculture, development would not only come faster, but will be more sustainable”.

The APC Governorship Hopeful urged the people of the state to support the APC, because “it has the credibility and the experience to deliver the state from under performance and clueless governance”.

“We are poised to give our people a government that would be responsive, responsible and all inclusive. Our people will be given the opportunity to explore their entrepreneurship skills for job creation and economic empowerment of our people. I thank you for this show of love and support for me and most importantly, our great Party, the APC and promise that we shall live up to the expectations of our people. I want to register my sincere gratitude for the sacrifices you have made so far and enjoin you to come and mobilize the people for me and our party. The APC led government that would take over our state under my leadership, will make a great difference and we’ll all be proud. As a state, we will gain so much with aligning with the power at the center. We cannot benefit from playing opposition in a country like Nigeria today,” Enang said.

Earlier in their presentation, the group through its leader, Elder Bassey E. Umoh, extolled the qualities of Ita Enang and pledged to support his candidature. He described the APC aspirant as a man who has the requisite experience, and capacity to govern the state. He maintained that as a lawmaker who have represented the people at the lowest to the highest chambers of the legislature, and presently as Adviser to the president on Niger Delta Affairs, Enang has performed to the admiration of all Akwa Ibom people.

He assured the aspirant of the support of the Stakeholders drawn from the 10 wards of Nsit Ubium. He stated that all the Stakeholders would not only mobilize for him at the party’s primary, but will also work assiduously to ensure his victory as the governor of Akwa Ibom State during the forthcoming election in 2023.
