The gubernatorial standard bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has stated that his administration through the Dakkada Global Oil Palm initiated by Gov. Emmanuel will take 3,000 youths off the streets when fully operational.

Eno while addressing a large crowd of supporters in Esit Eket , Monday December 19, noted that the area is highly endowed with agro resources, prominent among them being oil palm which grows in large quantity across the local government area, intimating them of actionable plans to restore Esit Eket to a new era of oil palm boom, and set refineries as well developing on the economic potentialities of Esit Eket in a bid to make Esit Eket a commercial hub of palm oil.

“We are going to install a refinery in Dakkada Global Oil Palm and it will employ 3,000 youths. We will send some youths on training when installed.

Esit Eket has what it takes to become the oil palm belt in Akwa Ibom. Udom Emmanuel’s administration started it and my administration will sustain and advance it as Esit Eket will become a commercial hub of oil palm”

Dr. Martha speaking on behalf of the Governor, HE Mr. Udom Emmanuel described PDP as “a very organized party”, expressed optimism that as a people who have benefited immensely from the administration of PDP, Esit Eket will not disappoint in churning out massive votes for candidates of the party.

Also speaking, the Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo, said there’s need for PDP to be returned at the centre to help alleviate the untold hardship it has meted out on Nigerians and then called for Nigerians, Akwaibomites and Esit Eket to vote massively for PDP in the upcoming elections.

“Come 2023, PDP should be returned at the centre, it’s visible to everyone the untold hardship the APC government has brought upon us, this shouldn’t be our reality again.

The state chairman of PDP, Rt Hon (Elder) Aniekan Akpan who presented the party’s flag to the candidate for Esit Eket state constituency, Pastor Udobia Udo, noted that Esit Eket has always been supporting PDP and that 2023 will not be any different.

Responding on behalf of the candidates, Pst Udobia appreciated the party and reassured the Governor that Esit Eket remains PDP and together with other candidates, they will explore all avenues to ensure the dividends of democracy in the area.

The Esit Eket campaign rally which was held at the Esit Eket Local Government Stadium, UQUO had in attendance prominent sons and daughters of the area, stakeholders of the party as well as PDP faithful in Esit Eket who thronged the venue in support of Pastor Umo Eno and other candidates of the party.
