Friday Obonoh Donates Food Materials, T-shirts to Inmates

…Takes kickoff of football match for inmates

…Flags off Year End Inmates Week

The Managing Director of Franklyn Ever Bright Farms Limited, Mr Friday has donated food materials to inmates in the Uyo Custodian Centre. He also pledged to donate branded T-Shirts to the Mass Choir at the correctional centre for use during the finale of the Year End Inmates Week.

Mr Obonoh said he is moved to do this because of his commitment to uplifting humanity irrespective of who they are. He said people must show kindness to others even to those in the correctional centres.

Receiving the food materials on behalf of the inmates, Controller of Corrections Akwa Ibom State Command Julius Ezugwu who was represented by the Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Richard Metong commended Mr Obonoh for the kind gesture.
“Honourable Obonoh with people like you, we have hope that we are not rejected”, Ezugwu said.

Earlier in his remark, the Assistant Controller Corrections Uyo, Julius Ogueri describe Obonoh has one of the great supporters of the centre. He prayed to God to continue to bless the Managing Director of Franklyn Ever Bright Farms Limited.

“My brother Obonoh has made it possible that we should celebrate today. He is the type of visitors we pray to have. All the goodies that are coming here today are from him. While we play, always remember him in your prayers”, Ogueri said.

The week which began on Monday 19 December 2022 through Thursday 22 December 2022 has witnessed a unity football match between inmates and staff of the centre and cultural display by inmates. Bible quiz and search the scriptures are other activities to hold.

The finale will have a carol festival with a mass choir of 100 inmates.
