Winners of 2022 Emmah Isong Essay Competition Cart Away Prizes

Christian Central Chapel International, CCCI, Ikot Enebong, Calabar, has announced the winners of this year’s essay writing competition, held on October 26, as part of activities marking the birthday anniversary of Bishop Emmah Isong, the presiding bishop of the church.
Ninety six candidates, mostly youths took part in the exercise, which shared the same topic with the Eighth Emmah Isong Annual Public Lecture, “They Desire a Better Country.”
The first prize for the competition, in the sum of N200,000 was won by Miss Praise Odey Ojong, the second prize of N100,000 went to Miss Esiere O. Kaiso, while the third prize of N50,000 was won by Miss Favour Usang Effiom. The prizes were presented to the winners during the recent November edition of the church’s monthly Morning Dew service.
Pastor Ideba Ele, a professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Calabar and assistant resident pastor of the church, said all the other participants of the competition were awarded consolation prizes.
Ele said the essay scripts were marked by some of the best educationists around, which included a top official of West African Examinations Council, WAEC. He commended the participants for their brilliant performances and enjoined them to remain worthy ambassadors of the church and society.
The Eighth Emmah Isong Annual Public Lecture was delivered by Rev. Emmanuel Idu, senior pastor of Destiny Church International, Tilburg, Netherlands. The cleric urged Nigerians to take advantage of the voter cards in their possession to elect credible Nigerians during the 2023 general elections.
He also enjoined God-fearing Nigerians to always present themselves for elective offices if their desire for a better country must come to pass.
