Uyo Golden Leo Club Installs 19th President

A reporter with The Evangelist newspaper, Leo Helen Jackson has been installed as the 19th President of Uyo Golden Leo Club for 2022/2023 service year.
The investiture ceremony which took place last week in Uyo also featured the installation of Board of Directors, induction of new members and fund raising for service project.
In her acceptance speech, the newly installed president, Leo Jackson, promised to give her best in all capacities and ensure that all the core values of the organization were actualized.
In order to discharge their service effectively and leave a positive foot print on the sand of time, she promised to embark on educational project, health care services, girl child project, skill acquisition/entrepreneurial training, hunger relief and baby of the year projects among others.
To help them achieve the above, the president solicited support and contribution of members to make our community a better place to live.
In her validictory speech, the immediate past president, Leo Irene Abiatah thanked the club for their endless support and understanding through out the service year she reined.
Leo Abiatah said the club under her watch was able to embark on worthy and impactful projects including give a girl a pad project, back to school project and visitation to St. Joseph’s Orphanage.
She charged her successor “to do better” as we keep the flag of lionism flying to unprecedented heights.
The board members include Leo Andy Nyong, Vice president; Leo Gabriel Jacob, Vice President II; Leo Irene Atiatah, Leo Blessing Okon, Secretary and Leo Magdalene Atakpa, Treasure;
Others are Leo Utibe Bassey, secretary II; Leo Success Anthony, director II (project); Leo Comfort Nyong, director III (welfare); Leo Isaiah Okon, director I (finance) and Leo Deborah Johnny, membership director.
