Frank Archibong lauds Gov Udom Emmanuel over St. Gabriel’s coconut oil factory

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong, has lauded the frontline presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, for exhibiting practical leadership and creating avenues to diversify the State’s economy, saying that he is the kind of president Nigeria needs.

Archibong, made the statement while addressing Journalists on Friday, 13th May, 2022, during the official commissioning of St. Gabriel’s Coconut Oil Factory, by a former Governor of Benue State, Mr. Gabriel Suswam, in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the State.

He expressed optimism that the coconut oil factory will further boost the state’s economy through revenue generation, adding that in no distance time, Akwa Ibom State, would be the haven of coconut and, over dependence on crude oil will become a thing of the past.

“This is practical governance. I am sure in no distance time, our Governor Deacon Udom Emmanuel will replicate this in Nigeria when he eventually becomes the president of Nigeria, because this is what Nigeria needs. Nigeria needs diversification from crude oil and it is the first of its kind in this part of the wold”.

“We need leaders that can put tangible things on the ground for the people to see, know and believe that something good can also come out from this part of the world”.

The Chieftaincy Affairs boss, called on all delegates to the national election to ensure they elect a president who understands what governace is and can interprete policies.

“Nigeria needs a practical leader who knows how to interpret policies and understands what governance is. Nigeria needs a president who knows what the economies are, and would be ready to compete with global standards; and that president, is Mr. Udom Emmanuel’ Archibong stated.

The coconut oil factory has the capacity to process one million coconut in three shifts and, can produce 22,000 tonnes per shift.

The commissioning ceremony was witnessed by top government officials, National and State Assembly members, Chairmen of council, Chieftains of the PDP, Royal fathers, Women and youth support groups.
