NUJ FEDERATED CHAPEL VISITS VVF HOSPITAL …..presents items to inmates

As part of activities marking the 2023 Week of the Federated Chapel, members of the Chapel paid a visit to the Health facility where gift items were presented to inmates and management of the Hospital.
Chairman of the Chapel Nsibiet John who led members to the facility informed newsmen that the Chapel is on the visit to extend her charity to inmates, management and staffers of the facility.
He explained that a lot have been said about the facility and what they represent adding that Journalists of the Chapel agreed at Congress that the facility should be visited and goodwill extended to them in order to encourage caregivers in the facility to do more for the people who are primarily women that seek their services.
On what they have observed in the VVF Hospital, the Chapel Chairman said that the Chapel is satisfied with the activities in the facility, the neat sorrounding in the area and called on other organizations and corporate bodies to extend their support to the VVF Hospital in Mbribit Itam.
Earlier, the Chairman of the 2023 Week of the Chapel Comrade Ekomobong Peter who set the tone at the visit mentioned to the Management staff that the Federated Chapel decided to pay the visit because the Chapel intends to also inform members of the Public on specific happenings in the facility and also see areas the Chapel can assist the Hospital especially in the area of awareness.
Comrade Ekomobong Peter hinted that the visitation to VVF is courtesy of Dr. Victor Ekpenyong who is the founder of Kenyong International West Africa Limited.
The Matron of the facility Sister Maria and Head of Nursing Sister Ngozi while conducting Federated Chapel members around the Hospital premises disclosed that the major challenge the facility is facing is that of accommodation adding that they will appreciate if corporate bodies, individuals and groups will come to their aide to provide them with accommodation as according to them, they have enough spaces in the premises that can accommodate more buildings.
They said also that the December camp to admit patients with VVF and RVF have since opened and that they are hopeful that at the close of camp, Patients would have been treated, rehabilitated and empowered on skills and others.
They thanked Federated Chapel for the visit, prayed God to bless the members and also prayed God’s blessings on Dr. Victor Ekpenyong who aided the visit.
