Palliatives: Edo Starts Free Intra-City Bus Services

Edo State government on Monday formally its free intra-city bus services, delimiting routes and time schedules of brand-new luxury buses.
It is part of the state government’s response to agitation and lamentations of the people after the stoppage of subsidy on petroleum products, leading to the worsening of citizens’ living conditions.
Ten distinctive routes have been marked, including Airport Rd junction where the buses from 6.30am-7.00am; Main Terminal at Kingsquare (6.30am -7.00am) and Igun junction at Sokponba Rd (6.30am- 7.00am).
Other routes are Ramat park by ECTS (6.30am- 7.00am), New Benin by Mission Rd junction (6.30am- 7.00am), Upper Mission Extension by Oando Aduwawa (6.30am – 7.00am), as well as Ibiwe (6.30am – 7.00am).
The rest are Ekiosa by Sokponba Rd to Uronigbe (8.00am), ECTS along Forestry and Ramat Park to Uzebba and Otuo (2.00pm), and ECTS Ramat Park to Auchi, Igarra, Ososo, Ibillo, Ubiaja, Uromi, Ewatto, Ewohimi and Abudu (8.00am).
