FRANK ARCHIBONG TAKING GOVERNANCE TO THE GRASSROOT

Following the directive of the State leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for a state-wide ward meeting, for stakeholders to reach out to Party members and supporters at the grassroot inline with Governor Umo Eno’s Arise Agenda drive.

The State Commissioner for local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong, speaking at the meeting, held at Elder Nse Atang’s residence, Ikot Udota, Eket LGA., appreciated stakeholders and thanked party faithfuls for their unwavering support to the umbrella party during and after election.

Archibong, assured them that pst. Umo Eno and the party will reciprocate the same gesture to the people through meaningful massive development, peace and security as encapsulated in his Arise Agenda initiative.
“I want to assure us of continuous dividends of good governance which will be cut across all sectors with different categories.

Earlier, in his tone setting, ward Chairman of ward 2 central who doubles as Chairman of ward Chairmen forum in Eket local government ,Elder Samuel Akpan Okon, in his remarks, thanked party faithfuls for standing by the party and for voting Pastor Umo Eno to succeed to Udom Emmanuel.

Addressing the mammoth Party members, leader, Eket senatorial district, Rt. Hon. (chief) Nduese Essien, applauded the governor for reviving the power of the party and appointing Personal Assistants per ward, noting that it reflects inclusiveness with those at the grassroot carried along .

Chief Ndiese, further commended Eket poeple for not negatively criticisimg the governor and asked for support to the governor and appointees of government.

Ward leader, Eld. Nse Atang, a board member with AKS Board of Internal Revenue, Mr.,Essien Ekefre, SSA to Governor on Research and Documentation, former vice Chairman of Eket LGA., Hon.victor Bassey, Councilor representing Ward 2 central, Hon. Hon. Tony Udoh, Supervisor for Education, Hon Michael Ama Ukpong and other stakeholders also thanked party loyalists for a job well done during the just concluded general election, promising to continue with their support for PDP and pst. Umo Eno, whom the said will never disappoint them.

Other stakeholders who also attended the meeting are; Obonganwan Ekaette Nduese, Elder Ettebong Harry , Pioneer Chapter woman leader of PDP in Eket, Deaconess Nancy Eshiet, Immediate past Viice chairman of Eket LGA., Hon Joshua Ekpe, Apostle Anwafia Akpekong, Chapter Officer, Miss Roseline Obong, Women leader Rose Sylvanus, Ward Vice Chairman,Christiana Friday, Village heads of some villages within the ward who backed up with royal blessing.

The highpoint of the meeting was empowerment of 34 person’s drawn across 17 units with cash to support their small businesses.
