CHARLES BASSEY, MON, SPORTS GURU JOINS THE GREATS IN HALL OF FAME

Charles Bassey is already member of HALL OF FAME sponsored by Air-peace Airlines at the Nigerian Institute of Internal Affairs, Lagos.
“This honour include, free flights all my life both local and International”.
He is arguably more famously known, however, as the coach of so many clubs within the Country, Nigeria, played outside the shores of Nigeria before his retirement.
“It’s not something that you ever set about when you embark on a career,” Bassey told Sports Recorder of his induction.
“But everybody who goes out and does anything like this certainly likes to get to the top of the field and that’s what it’s all about, the same as Sports, other professionals to be the top of your field, and I was lucky enough to get to that point.” he said.
He says, “the company, Air Peace Airlines has joined him with other members of African cup of Nations 1980 and we are sixteen left but the organization honored the twenty-two players that represented Nigeria at the 1980 AFCON final”.
“As a member of the Hall of Fame makes the honour even more significant”. said Bassey.
It’s almost humbling to sort of be placed in the company of greats”, said Bassey.
“It’s something unexpected and certainly extremely humbling.”
