FLOOD IN IKOT USEKONG, EKET …AS HELPLESS TENANTS CRIED LOUD FOR HELP

Lives, properties, and homes are at stake as flood orchestrated by the ongoing downpour has taken over homes in Ikot Usekong, Eket local government area, Akwa Ibom State.
According to Comrade John Ekpo, one of the badly affected victims who lives in Mr. Saviour Okposin Edem’s compound, cried out this morning after the avoidable flood took over his home, that his children and wife are displaced and all his properties, including executive chairs, tables, foams, and laptop have been submerged by the flood.
According to some tenants in the area, the cause of the flood is poor maintenance of compound facilities and poorly constructed gutter blockage in the compound.
The helpless tenants, therefore, called on the public-spirited individuals and the government to come to the rescue. (Newsline9ja Blog).
