SOLOMON EYIRE GOES HOME

The remains of the deceased village head of Iseyiridua in Eket Local Government, Chief Solomon Eyire, were at the weekend committed to mother earth.

The interment was precedeth by a funeral service conducted by the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Iko Ekwa Branch, Eket Local Government at the Event Centre, Qua Iboe Church, Ikot Ibiok Eket.

Until his demise on September 2, 2022, the deceased was a High Council member of his church and a member of Eket Traditional Rulers Council who contributed significantly to the development of his community.

In recognition of his sacrifice to the welfare of his people, several groups and individuals sent in condolence messages to his family extolling the quality of the person the family, village and the society at large have missed.

These include the ministry of Local Government, the paramount ruler of Eket, Eket Chapter of the conference of Village Heads, Iseyiridua Village Council in Eket, Frontier Oil Limited and the former minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt Honourable, chief Ndueso Essien.

Others include the Eket Traditional Rulers Council, The Evangelist Newspaper, Idua Clan Council, Iseyiridua Youth Council, Ekanem Joseph, Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission, and member for Eket Federal Constituency, Honourable Patrick Ifon, among others.

They recount the contributions of the deceased to the development of the society and urged the family to take solace in the fact that their Patriarch has left lasting Legacies for posterity.

Late Chief Solomon Eyire is survived by his children and other relatives to mourn his demise.
