Rangers midfielder Naziru Ibrahim: We’ll take Dakkada point

Enugu Rangers midfielder Naziru Ibrahim says his teammates were pleased with their 1-1 draw at Dakkada on Monday.

The Uyo outfit were ahead via Austine Onyeamachi before Kufre Ebong struck for the hosts.

Naziru was a standout performer on the afternoon, scampering all over the pitch with an infectious zeal and was never far from wherever the ball dropped.

“Coming here we knew it would be difficult, Dakkada are fantastic and the game was intense, overall we have to take the point and move on. It is always a nice place to come, I would have liked a winner. He told Lodgexpress official website.

“We started really well, a lot of the time we do but especially today. the workrate and intensity was really good in the game, defensively solid and many positives in the game. We limited the problems they cause and held on to possession a lot more than them.

“Tactically we changed a little bit but not the intensity, that did not change. The front line were brilliant not only defensively but offensively they worked really hard too. That is why defensively we were so solid. We were waiting for the moment to win the ball back and find the winner but just unfortunate we did not get the chance to do that.”
