Doma United midfielder Hilary Ekawu delighted to prove matchwinner against Bayelsa United

Doma United midfielder Hilary Ekawu was delighted with his goal in victory over Bayelsa United.

It is often hard to recognise the outstanding performances of individuals when they perform at a high level, on such a consistent basis. This is largely the case for the whole Doma United side, who’s 2-1 victory of Bayelsa United is nothing short of expected.

Ace midfielder Hilary Ekawu was again one of the stars for the Savannah Tigers, with the assist for Charles Chibuike’s opening goal along with the winning goal of the game.

Hes now has 5 assists and that was his first goal for Doma United in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Ekawu told Lodgexpress official website post-game: “We played a great game and could have scored more goals before the end, but I’m happy with the three points because it was a tough game and Bayelsa United played very well.

“I’m happy to score and help my team win. In football sometimes you score and sometimes not, but I’m happy today.”

“We started the game very well and I’m very happy to have won the three points. It’s always a difficult game against Bayelsa United.

Reacting when asked about his first goal for the club, Ekawu added;

“I’m just another player to help and continue the good moment we’re going through. I hope to help, try to speed up the game, shoot, score goals and assist, which is why I’m here. Every moment, every second.”
