Addressing the religious leaders, Governor Udom Emmanuel urged them to rise up in unison and support Umo Eno, who is one of them, to succeed him as governor come May 29, 2023.

He continued that with Umo Eno at the saddle, the state would witness more development and peace than what is obtained now.

“We need a God-fearing and a people-oriented person who places the interest of the people above personal interest to man the affairs of this state”, he added.

In his speech, the prelate of Believers Assembly of Nigeria, Professor Isaiah Isong said that anyone who will be the next governor of the state must be a man who fears God, adding that Umo Eno is non-violent and seeks for peace everywhere he goes, and will bring peace to Akwa Ibom and Nigeria at large if elected.

Also speaking, the Anglican Bishop of Uyo, Rt Rev Asukwo Antai, said, “The PDP candidate is one of us. He is an ordained pastor, a teacher of the word of God and has travelled throughout the world.
Therefore he has the exposure, the competence and a character worthy of emulation”.

While affairming his believe that Umo Eno would make Akwa Ibom peaceful, he charged Nigerian, politicians to endeavour to use their positions to bring eternal peace to the country instead of using their exalted offices to foment crises and war among the people.

Dr Uma Ukpai of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association urged the Christian leaders to rise up and support God’s chosen servant, Pastor Umo Eno for him to use his capacity to end all communal wars in the state.

Responding, the PDP governorship candidate, Pastor Umo Eno, urged all Akwa Ibom people, especially other contestants, to support him to become the next governor of Akwa Ibom.

“I call on all believers in Christ Jesus to give me their support to become the governor during the March 11 polls and everybody’s support is highly needed”, he added.

He reiterated that “: We cannot exist without each other and we need collaboration as Akwa Ibomites to win this forthcoming election”.

At the ceremony, prayers were offered to God for the success of Pastor Umo Eno by the clergymen led by Dr Uma Ukpai.
