2023: Obolo People Declare Support for Pastor Umo Eno, PDP
… Makes Guber Candidate Patron

A socio-cultural organization of Obolo people in Akwa Ibom State, Ngba Ndiak Obolo has declared support for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno.
The group registered its support during a courtesy visit on him in Uyo.
The group also honoured Pastor Eno as their Patron, describing a compassionate man who has shown integrity and capacity in managing the issues involving the area.
In his remark, the International President, Apostle Samuel Eka commended Governor Emmanuel for his developement strides, adding that the Obolo people will continue to support his completion agenda as well as the succession plan.
Apostle Eka maintained that the group has resolved to queue behind Pastor Umo Eno and to support all the candidates of the PDP to victory in 2023.
“I won’t lead my people here if I was not convinced that you will be the next governor of the State, and that with you, the state will be very safe. We are ready to stand with you to make sure you become the next Governor for eight years,” he affirmed.
Also speaking, the BOT Chairman, Sir Adasi Ubulom, described the PDP candidate as a humble man who is passionate about development and assured everyone that the group will work to ensure his victory at the poll.
According to him, “each time I hear you speak, I see your passion to transform Akwa Ibom state. I have no doubt that you will be a people- oriented governor.”
It is on record that Pastor Umo Eno, while serving as Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, succeesfully supervised the payment of compensation to the Eastern Obolo People for the land used as site of the Fertilizer Blending Company.
Responding, the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate commended the group for their gesture and sacrificial support, noting that the current administration under the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel has done more than any other government for the Obolo people.
He assured the group that the next administration will unlock the hidden resources of the state for the economic benefit of the people adding that he will sustain the peace and development in the State.
Pastor Eno noted that the Obolo area is naturally blessed adding that the next administration will be serious about entrepreneurship by harnessing the resources on ground to boost the local community and its people.
In his words, “if I become the governor of the state, by the grace of God,
I will, to the best of my conscience, serve God and the people of Akwa Ibom. I want to assure you that I will partner with you, work with you for the developement of this state”
Highpoint of the visit which had in attendance all Executive and Board of Trustee members of the group was the induction and decoration of the former Land and Water Resources Commissioner as Patron of the organization.
