Pastor Umo Eno Receives A’ Ibom Ward Leaders Union, Tasks Members On Party’s Victory

Akwa Ibom State Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Pastor Umo Eno has tasked Ward Leaders Union to lead the Party to victory in the 2023 general elections.

Pastor Eno gave the charge while receiving the Union on the heels of their inauguration by the State Chairman of
the Peoples Democratic Party, Rt Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan.

The reception took place at his Ewet Housing Office.

The incoming governor described the group as a welcome development which came up at the right time.

He congratulated the President-General of Akwa Ibom State Ward Leaders Union, Akparawa Michael Bush, on his emergence as well as all the members, charging them to collaborate with every other structure of the party and work in tandem with the PDP Campaign Council to lead the party to total victory in the forthcoming elections.

Pastor Eno assured the Union of support, expressing confidence that they would mobilize the grassroots behind all candidates of the party for total success at the polls.

Responding, President-General of Akwa Ibom State Ward Leaders Union aka Ward Leaders for Umo Eno, Akparawa Michael Bush, thanked Pastor Umo Eno for playing host to the group on inauguration day; intimating him that the members are committed to victory in the forthcoming elections as they always have been.

Bush assured that the Ward Leaders Union will work in harmony with all likeminded structures and organs of the PDP to mobilize the people and ensure victory for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party.

He promised to mobilise all 329 Ward Leaders as well as the over 4,000 Unit Commanders, going forward.

Others who were in attendance during the reception are Deputy Chairman of Umo Eno Campaign Council, Dr Godwin Ntukudeh, Secretary of the Campaign Council, Prince Enobong Uwah and Director of Finance, Hon. Frank Archibong who is also the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Others who were Works Commissioner, Prof. Eno Ibanga, Member representing Nsit Ubium State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Otobong Effiong Bob, among others.

Highpoint of the event was the decoration of the Governorship candidate and other dignitaries with the official bowler hat of the Union.
