Senator Remi Tinubu, the wife of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu and Nana Shettima, wife of Tinubu’s running mate, Kashim Shetttima, on Monday, arrived in Makurdi, Benue State, aboard a Nigerian Airforce aircraft.
The duo, who were joined by their friends and associates, were in Benue to commiserate with flood victims in the state.
The women disembarked from the aircraft to cheers of welcome from supporters who had trooped out to receive them.
But the decision to use NAF aircraft for the visit has generated reactions in the social media, with many condemning the act.
PlatinumPost reports that this year’s flood has caused major havoc in Benue, displaying thousands of people.
Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, had in a few days ago visited the state, where he donated N5 million to victims.
