Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Mr. Camillus Umoh, has enjoined the people of Akwa Ibom State to vote for governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Pastor Umo Eno, and all PDP candidates as the gesture is equivalent to investing in the future.
The commissioner who, before his appointment, had worked with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) for over 20 years, made the call on Peace Voice, a Maintain Peace Movement MPM sponsored programme on Inspiration FM, Uyo.
While responding to questions from host of the programme, Mr. Ekomobong Peter, he said “this is the time to say ‘even if we have missed it before, this is the time to make an investment in the future’. Politics is an investment; investment in time, invest in support, invest with your PVCs. This is the time to invest in our collective future.
Umoh said that Pastor Eno would consolidate the many achievements of Governor Udom Emmanuel if he becomes governor in 2023.
He noted that the ARISE Agenda, Pastor Eno’s blueprint, contains all that the state needs at a time like this.
While stating that Pastor Eno was not new to leadership given his years in the private sector, the commissioner said that the gubernatorial candidate will positively give back to the society if he becomes governor in 2023.
“Pastor Umo Eno is coming to deepen the work of His Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel and he has stated unequivocally that there is going to be a continuation because the policy trust of the ARISE Agenda are substantially what the state needs.
“It is not a new ground for Pastor Umo Eno. He’s been an investor; he’s been an entrepreneur almost all his life. At this stage in life, what he wants to do is to give back positive things. The way I see Umo Eno’s aspiration, is essentially to give back.
