FPPRO Hails Gov Emmanuel’s effort in Peace Sustenance.

…Says A’Ibom ‘very peaceful’

The Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, Muyiwa Adejobi has commended the peaceful disposition of State under the watch of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Speaking on Friday evening with the Akwa Ibom State Chairman of Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, CRAN, Solomon OKPO and some exco members of CRAN, Friday evening at the police Officer’s Mess Metro road in Uyo, during an evening party, tagged September edition of Happy Hour hosted by the Akwa Ibom State Command of the Nigeria Police for officers and men of the force and members of the media community, the Force FPRO who flew in from Abuja to be part of the event, said he has been a regular visitor to the state on several occasions, and can attest to the fact that the State is peaceful.

He noted that the police would not relent in ensuring a peaceful and crime free society.

“This is not my first time of visiting this State. I was here for the second edition of Nigeria Police Officer’s retreat. I’ve been here on regular visits. Today, i accompanied the Commissioner of Police to commission some projects. I go round Akwa Ibom State without escorts. I move very freely, so it’s an indication that this place is excellent, it’s superb and i love this place it’s “very peaceful”.

“When i say i don’t move about with security escort, don’t forget i have kidnap value, so i know what I’m saying. There are places i cannot go in other states, so for me to move freely in Akwa Ibom is an indication “this place is peaceful”.

Speaking on the importance of the evening party, Mr. Adejobi said the event is another way of bringing the police closer to the people, as it affords opportunity for cross fertilization of ideas and strengthening the ideals of community policing.

The event was carefully organized by Akwa Ibom State PPRO, DSP, Odiko Macdon and attended by the DCP Ofem Arikpo, DC administration, senior officers of the 13th Biennial Police Games committee from Abuja, officers of Akwa Ibom State Command and the executive, members of the Akwa Ibom State Command honourary mess committee, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong who commended the leadership of the Akwa Ibom State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, led by the Police Commissioer, Olatoye Durosinmi for creating an opportunity for the officers to unwind.
