I’m running for Governor to rescue Akwa Ibom people — Ezekiel Nyaetok
A Governorship aspirant in Akwa Ibom State on the platform of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Otuekong Arc. Ezekiel Nyaetok has reaffirmed his commitment to introduce what he describes as social governance to rescue the people of the state from the misrule of few politicians and fight for for the interest of all.
Nyaetok, Nigeria’s foremost social housing advocate gave this assurance during his family meeting with Pastors, friends and Christian youths and reiterated his intention to run for Governor on Wednesday 17th may 2022 at Vinpy Event Centre Udoudoma, Uyo .
Our reporter gathered that Nyaetok interacted with the Church leaders on his strategies to move the State higher, curb unemployment, empower the grassroots and to stop poverty in the land.
He urged them to rise, participate in politics and demonstrate commitment to the issue of the land by being vocal in taking stand on what they believe to hold leaders accountable.
Nyaetok, who has made two attempts of becoming the Governor of the State in the 2015 and 2019 governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party and Young Progressives Party, YPP, respectively before joining his current party
argued that the future of our land is not in People Democratic Party or All Progressives Congress.
The ADC Governorship hopeful decried monetisation of the elections and advised the people not to vote any aspirant because of money.
He appealed to Pastors to pray fervently to ensure that a man that knows the problem and will be able to tackle it with all amount of sincerity emerges to govern the State come 2023, insisting that only the aspirant with the best intentions for the people will win.
Arc. Nyaetok said he is out to serve as the Governor of Akwa ibom State on the platform of African Democratic party for integrity and kingdom, explaining that, he is motivated to run in the interest of the Church. He further added that any Governorship aspirant that doesn’t know God will not rule the state.
On his policy direction, Nyaetok disclosed that he has come with a paradigm shift called social governance with bottom to top approach in service delivery, stating that the Wards will become the central point for funds disbursement and development for human capacity building.
Nyaetok flayed the current system which he said only benefits a few elite and politicisns to the detriment of the masses and pledged to be a governor that will be accessible and accountable to the common man.
In a related development a female Presidential aspirant on the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Lady Angela Johnson, has said that, her coming into the race is divine, explaining that, God has sent her to rule Nigeria.
She made this disclosure during her meeting with Pastor friends of Arc Nyaetok governship aspirant of Africa Democratic Congress,at Vinpy Events centre, Uyo the Akwa Ibom state capital.
According to the presidential aspirant, her mission is to change the narrative that will bring to an end poverty in the country.
Lady Johnson, a native of Aba South, Arochukwu Local Government Area, said that, destiny is going to work for her, assuring her supporters that, she is going to win.
According to her, she is going to do well, because of her full knowledge of the problems of Nigeria, adding that, her track records is clean and such will speak for her. She promised to tackle insecurity and poverty.
“Im going to work with my people and lead by example”. she said.
Lady Johnson maintained that, she is from a respectable family, adding that, her father was once House of Assembly member representing Aba South, six years ago.
She said from childhood , she was interested in politics, even in her school days, saying that, as a female aspirant, she is not intimidated in anyway.
“I only look up to God because He alone ordains Kings and Princess in His own time. This is my time, I look onto God. Being a female does not matter, I look at my self as vessel of God that will change this country because of the agenda that is placed on my hand”.
She urged all Nigeria to arise and grab the golden opportunity to vote her under the platform of ADC, while advising Nigerians to shun people that uses money to impose so much hunger in our land.
According to her, she is going to do well because of her knowledge of the problem of the country, promising to tackle insecurity and poverty headlong
“I’m going to work with my people and lead by example”, she said.
“As a female aspirant, I am not intimidated in anyway , I only look up to God because He alone ordained Kings and Princess in His own time. This is my time, I look into God. Being a female does not matter, I look at my self as vessel of God that will change this country because of the agenda that is placed on my hand”.

“Nigeria belongs to you. The future of the Nigeria is embedded on the choices you make during the election. Make a good choice and vote ADC, vote Lady Angela Johnson for which I am well prepared, vested to deliver Nigeria from poverty ” she added.
