The victorious Akwa Ibom schools sports ambassadors

Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Dakkada philosophy and his efforts in sports development is gradually finding momentum among more young persons in the State.

This is because the World School Games to be held in China in November later this year will have seven young children from Ibeno local government area of Akwa Ibom state.

The children, students of Secondary Grammar School, qualified from the State’s final of the Maltina Schools Games that held at the Nest of Champions, Uyo.

At the National finals recently concluded in Abuja, the contingent emerged winners respectively in the 4×100 meters, long jump and javelin while the only male in the contingent came back with a silverware in the 400meters race.

The chairman of Ibeno Chief Williams Mkpa received the victorious lads, splashed them gift items and promised to continue encouraging sport and educational developments in the area
