Samuel Owoku rallies Doma United teammates for top-three race: Let’s finish the job!
Doma United star Samuel Owoku wants his team to make a final push for the top three.
The Savannah Tigers are within touching distance of securing Super Six playoffs spot as they currently occupy the second position on group B.
But they have the likes of Rivers United – that has two outstanding games – and Niger Tornadoes on their tail.
Owoku who enjoyed another outing with his teammates over the weekend now wants them to continue putting in their best performances to get as many points as possible in the remaining three games.
He told Lodgexpress official website after a 2-1 win over Bayelsa United: “We have to be in the top three after the 18 games.
“That’s when we can find ourselves competing for the NPFL title in the Super Six playoffs.
“Maybe people didn’t expect us to be where we are but if we are there it is because we deserve to be there. Also, we have missed a lot of chances to be even higher.
“We don’t have to think of other opponents.
“I really liked the way we reacted for Bayelsa United victory, the effort as well. We won the game and that was good
“Now it’s time to finish the job. It’s in our hands. It’s up to us to take it and finish where we want to finish.”
