While frowning at the poor state of some state teams, the body called for an immediate intervention of the government to salvage their poor condition in order to do well in the on-going competitions. They particularly called for immediate overhauling of the coaching crew and the management of both Dakkada and Ibom Angels, that are now wobbling in the competition as a result of poor management.
In the communiqué signed by its chairman, Elder Uwem Ekoh; Secretary Uwem Uko, and others, the body urged the government to provide financial incentives to these two team to motivate them, and as well revitalise the Akwa Ibom Youth Festival, for sustainable sport talents hunt in the state.
The communiqué urged government to inject extra vigour into the sports sector to boost sports development.
The congress set-up a three-man committee to plan for the SWAN 2023 thanksgiving service.
