In-form Deputy Echeta again rescues Bendel Insurance point against Kwara United
Deputy Echeta once again rescued a point for Bendel Insurance against Kwara United on Sunday.
Echeta earned Insurance a point with a strike in the 78th minute against a valiant Kwara United.
It was a brilliant strike which was unbefitting of the team’s performance, with the high flying attacker saving his side from defeat with his third goal of the season and two in his last two games, after he netted against Plateau United in Jos last week.
Kwara United had gone ahead after Alao Mohammed gave the visitors the lead from a freekick in the 68th minute.
The result leaves Bendel winless in their last four games but still leaders of Group A with 27 points from 13 games.
A fair result, but Echeta’s intervention may yet prove crucial as Bendel Insurance’s invincible run continues after Matchday 13.
