Doma Utd goalkeeper Kingdom Osayi delighted with another clean sheet for Lobi Stars win
Doma United goalkeeper Kingdom Osayi was delighted with his clean sheet for Sunday’s 2-0 victory against Lobi Stars.
Goals from new signing, Daniel Barnabas and Maurice Chigozie made it their fourth League victory at Pantami Stadium, but the shutout against Lobi Stars also saw Osayi record his fourth clean sheets of the season.
“I think from the first minute to the last minute it was a concentrated performance from us,” Osayi told Lodgexpress.com.
“It was very hard because Lobi play very deep and also operate from the flanks but then we scored the goals and it was a well-deserved victory.
“We had to keep calm because Lobi were waiting for one chance from a corner or a free-kick to score and then it’s more difficult to score a goal and win, so I think the first goal from Daniel was very important for us before Chigozie sealed the win. We maintained possession and kept playing the ball, which was the main reason we played so good.”
Sunday’s win takes Doma up to sixth in the Group B table but Osayi knows there’s plenty of work to do to secure a playoffs spot.
