EX-MINISTER DRUMS SUPPORT FOR PST. UMO ENO,

A former Minister of Lands, Rt. Hon. Chief Nduese Essien has again thrown his weight behind the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Pastor Umo Eno.
Essien, who is the Board of Trustee Chairman, Ekid People’s Union said that Pastor Umo Eno will win the March 18 election overwhelmingly, and urged Ekid people to rally round the PDP candidate.
He assured that the collective interests of Ekid people will be advanced and protected under the administration of Pastor Umo Eno.
The political leader of Eket senatorial district stated this during an enlarged meeting of Esop Mbong Ekid, Mbong mbaba, Mbong akparawa and other political parties under the aegis of Ekid nationality.
Taking cognizance of the contributions of Pst. Umo Eno to the socio-economic development of Ekid people, Chief Nduese Essien urged the people to vote the PDP candidate, Pst. Umo Eno in the coming saturday election.
According to the BOT Chairman of Ekid People’s Union, “Pst. Umo Eno has lived with us for over 25 years and has been fully integrated into the community. He is our own, he knows our needs, he knows our problems, has our interests and will accommodate us in his administration”.
Vouching for his reputation, he described Pst. Umo Eno as a credible, accountable, organized and most responsible of all the Guber candidates.
He added that Pst. Umo Eno is the best for Akwa Ibom State as he will will take the business of leadership seriously and produce positive results.
“Don’t fall for the antics and false promises of other candidates, they’re seeking for a way to get into power, they are the usual politicians and they don’t mean anything. Umo Eno has track records of contributing to the economy of this State and he will do more”, he said.
Similarly, the President General of Ekid People’s Union, Dr. Samuel Udonsak posited that Pst. Umo Eno is the only candidate that will protect the interest of Ekid people.
He also revealed that Pst. Umo Eno in an extensive consultation has pledged to look into critical issues of Ekid communities, including more infrastructural development.
The President General pleaded with Ekid people to use such meetings to reinvent the unity of Ekid, assuring that the leadership of EPU is working to position Ekid greatly.
Esop Mbong Ekid, Esop Mbong mbaba, Ibong mkparawa, other political parties present, in their resolve pledged to follow the direction given and vowed to vote PDP on Saturday.
“In terms of quality, Pst. Umo Eno ranks the highest. We will surely vote for PDP because all of us here are beneficiaries of PDP government and they are treating us well”, they assured.
