Babantan et al. When Wickedness Walks the Streets

“And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” Isaiah 59:14.

But for the fact that God called him and endowed him with every ounce of unction for strength, stamina and courage, the ill winds of invented and regurgitated wickedness by the people siding with darkness would have torn apart the light bearer and hope of a new Akwa Ibom State – Pastor Umo Eno.
Gov. Udom Emmanuel certainly made no mistake when he stood firm to present Pastor Umo Eno as his preferred successor. Had he brought lilly-livered person, such would have run away by now from the heat and crucible of wicked devices dug out at each phase of the process towards May 29th, 2023.
Did anyone ever imagine that Hon. Mike Enyong, a member of the House of Representatives, who conducted his own primary in his own house, will be advised to lay ambush with a court judgment from Damaturu at a very critical bend of the electioneering campaigns, against the duly certified winner of the properly conducted PDP primaries done in accordance to electoral law and the constitution to upend the cart?
What a desperation! Yet a horde of conscienceless people whose bellies harbour wickedness celebrated Enyong or Babantan with glee. The Babantan they once spunned at, suddenly became their hero. Surprisingly, two opposition parties, the YPP and APC found a common ground in Babantan abracadabra.
Like King Herod and Pilate, who were at dagger’s drawn against each other became friends because of the sentencing of Jesus Christ to death, these two became friends. Their media hawks delighted in attacking the person of Pastor Umo Eno to no end. They left off promoting their party candidates to hailing Babantan for his heroic adventures. They knew Pastor Umo Eno is their only obstacle, so if Babantan through Damaturu Court got him out, he was their hero.
The funniest aspect of the Babantan macabre dance of shame is that some pastors, greedy pastors like the Balaams of old, are celebrating Babantan. Some have started forming prayer cells for him to be governor. Hey! What a shame!
Isn’t it sadder that those who want to be ‘governors, distinguished senators, senate presidents and the honourables,’ have become blinded by greed for power and are aiding and abetting wickedness against a fellow kinsman?
Pastor Umo Eno’s only crime is that responsibility has fallen on him to be the one to bring Akwa Ibom State out of the doldrums to the el dorado. The architects of wickedness know this and are lurked in conspiracies to stop him because they want us to dwell in the darkness. That’s why we scoff at the light bearer and make caricatures of him.
How deplorable and wicked these acts are viewed in the sight of God and good conscience! Wickedness walks in our streets in the broad daylight, and we applaud instead of rebuking it. We forget that God is watching, and that the almighty will never let the wicked go scot-free. He will judge every wickedness!
I trembled exceedingly hearing the antics of Babantan similar to how the aged Isaac trembled when he suddenly found out that Esau was now in front of him begging for the blessing Jacob obtained earlier. Isaac told Esau he had already blessed Jacob and he couldn’t reverse it. Pastor Umo Eno has already been blessed for the throne and it’s irreversible. Babantan and his acolytes should go and rest and let peace reign.

Thank God for the Appeal Court’s looming final blow against this ludicrous naked street dancer called Babantan.
