Oruk Anam to Get Model Technical School, More Infrastructure – Pastor Umo Eno Pledges

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has promised to build a model technical school in Oruk Anam if elected in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking at the PDP/Pastor Umo Eno and Akon Eyakenyi campaign rally in Oruk Anam LGA, held at the Local Government council field, Ikot Ibritam, he noted that one of the schools in the area was given out for the establishment of Naval College, and assured that his administration would build a model technical school in the area as replacement.
He noted that the current administration led by Governor Udom Emmanuel has done a lot in terms of infrastructure in the area adding that his administration would further on these strides.
Pastor Eno who is a seasoned entrepreneur disclosed that plans have been laid out in partnership with management of the Akwa Ibom State University to put structures that would enable it run courses in agriculture which will provide the relevant manpower for his ambitious agricultural development agenda.
Addressing the cheery mammoth crowd, he noted that his administration would support small and medium scale enterprises as well as the training and retraining of youths to fill the skill gap in the state.
While appreciating them for the massive show of support, he assured everyone that Oruk Anam is the LGA of his political mother and campaigner- in – Chief, Dr (Mrs) Martha Udom Emmanuel, hence they would continue to enjoy their pride of place.
In his remarks, the state governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel who was represented by his wife, Dr (Mrs) Martha said he was in Oruk Anam as their son in-law to introduce his would be succeesor, urged them to mobilize support ahead of the February 25 and March 11 elections to deliver all PDP candidates
Mrs Udom who is a daughter of the area, expressed delight at the massive turnout for the event, and assured that Pastor Eno is a God-fearing leader who would not disappoint Oruk Anam and the state in general.
In their separate remarks, the major stakeholders in Oruk Anam including the leader of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Udo Kierien Akpan, Elder Sunny Udom, Commissioner for Education, Hon. Idongesit Etiebet, Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency (AKSEPWMA), Prince Akpan Ikim, Chapter Party Chairman, Engr Nsikan Titus and others said Oruk Anam was grateful to the state governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel who they said was the first governor to construct roads in the area.
They noted that Oruk Anam has always voted for PDP, stressing that with the trajectory of development in the area, they were emboldened to mobilize more and vote massively for candidates of the party.
In specific terms, Sir Udo Kierien Akpan maintained that the event was to fulfill the party’s tradition, as according to him, Oruk Anam was ready to reciprocate the good works of their son in-law, Governor Emmanuel.
Introducing the candidates, the Director-General of campaigns, Ambassador Assam Assam SAN, and the state party Chairman, Elder Aniekan Akpan appreciated the people of Oruk Anam for always supporting PDP.
They remarked that the PDP has selected credible candidates for the forthcoming elections and urged them to double their efforts at mobilising votes for Pastor Umo Eno, and all the candidates of the party in line with the 5 over 5 philosophy.
