Akwa Utd Set to Warm-up Against Heartland in Eket

As part of pre-season training programme, 2021 Nigeria Professional Football League champions Akwa United will engage Heartland FC of Owerri in a friendly encounter at the 18,000 sitting capacity stadium in Eket.
The match which is scheduled for Thursday December 22, 2022 will kickoff at four O’clock in the afternoon and will be the only game for the Promise Keepers during the closed camping programme in Eket.
Coach Ayodeji Ayeni will use the match against Heartland to further assess the performances of his players especially the new signings as they look forward to the new season.
Coach Ayeni has also hinted that he will try out different tactical formations to ensure the team’s desired cohesion is achieved in line with his philosophy of playing simple free-flowing football.
